 EQUINE MASSAGE THERAPIST

Nikki Truscott is a qualified Equine Massage Therapist specialising in sports massage, red light therapy and tissue mobilisation treatments.

the path to australia

She now calls Australia her home but Nikki is originally from Scotland and has been riding and surrounded by horses since she was five. No slouch to competition, she has competed for Heriot Watt University, Scotland, in the Scottish Universities league and the UK wide National Universities league in both dressage and showjumping.

Nikki has worked with horses all over the world including teaching children at a summer camp in Canada and Switzerland and training endurance horses in Scotland. As a resident of Australia, she has thrown herself headfirst into the Aussi vernacular. She has done everything from training polo ponies, working as a jillaroo on a cattle station in the outback mustering on horseback and as a horse riding trail guide on the beautiful Noosa North Shore, Queensland.

rehabilitating horses

As Nikki’s interest in the longevity of horses’ health grew she gained her Certificate of Equine Sports Therapy and Massage and Red Light Therapy as well as a Certificate in Equine Tissue Mobilisation. She launched Rebalance Equine Therapy in 2017 (re-branding as Rebalance Equine Bodywork in 2021).

If you would like a qualified equine massage therapist to treat your horse, Nikki travels from Burpengary to Gympie in South East Queensland.

workshops

Nikki also runs fun, informative and interactive workshops designed to educate horse owners about muscles and ligaments and how to notice signs of pain in their horses.

These clinics always book out quickly and have become incredibly popular amongst clients and horse owners.

“I had a great day at the massage workshop and learned a lot. Nikki is so passionate and very knowledgeable. I definitely recommend her services.”

“Nikki did an amazing job on my boy – even while he fidgeted she just worked with him and stayed calm.
He was very sore and stiff behind and even after just one session with Nikki I could see how much softer and happier he was. She gave me lots of feedback and easy stretches to do with him. I highly recommend her and her services.”
